CALL FOR AWARDS
ICYRAM2022 YOUNG RESEARCHER AWARDS
ICYRAM2022 Young Researcher Awards are intended to honor and encourage young researcher, who is age<40 years old, and/or <15 years passed after receiving a PhD degree, whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction.

How to apply ICYRAM2022 Young Researcher Awards
The ICYRAM2022 Young Researcher Award Applications will be accepted through the abstract submission system during the abstract submission period. Upon review of applications, the selected Young Researcher Award finalists will present their research in each session, based on their abstract as submitted and accepted for the 2022 ICYRAM2022.

Award Package
​Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards will be announced on the ICYRAM2022 Website and Closing session in the last day of the conference. The prizes consist of a certificate for the Awards.​

ICYRAM2022 Student Presentation Awards are intended to honor and encourage students whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction.

Award Package
​Student Presentation Awards will be announced on the ICYRAM2022 Website and Closing session in the last day of the conference. The prizes consist of a certificate for the Awards.
CALL FOR TRAVEL AWARD APPLICATION (FOR OVERSEAS RESEARCHERS)
ICYRAM2022 offers Travel Award to enthusiastic leading researchers who need financial support to present high quality papers at the conference.

Eligibility
The applicant must be a researcher residing in a country other than Japan.
*The "researcher" includes young academian, postdoc, an undergraduate, or graduate student in University, College and/or Research Institute.
The applicant must be the first author of the accepted abstract and make the presentation at the ICYRAM2022 conference.
When you are awarded the grant, online registration is mandatory in advance.
Registration type:
Travel Awardee (Online participation, No charge)
or
Travel Awardee (Face-to-face participation, Charge).

Grant Amount and Benefit
​Successful grant applicants will be announced in March at the same time as abstract acceptance.
Recipients will receive a cash award (up to JPY 100,000) and a certificate on August 4th, DAY 2, at the conference venue.
When the awardees chose the online participation, they will enjoy free registration instead of receiving travel expenses.

Application Procedure
1. Abstract Submission (Due date: 14 March 28 March 11 April 2022 (JST))
Please make sure to submit your abstract as the first author. You are permitted to use only one abstract for travel award. Both oral and poster presentations are applicable to this award.

2. Travel Award Application (Due date: 14 March 28 March 11 April 2022 (JST))

An official recommendation letter from a supervisor or a collaborator stating that you are appropriate to apply to Travel Award.

Grant recipients will receive a notification by email from the secretariat.

Note

The amount of Travel Grant is fixed and cannot be increased under any circumstances. Each recipient must bear any additional expenses.

Grant of recipients who do not attend ICYRAM2022 will be revoked.
-
Travel Award grants cannot be used to pay for flight or hotel cancellation fees.
