ABOUT ICYRAM
ICYRAM, dedicated to the support of young researchers, is the most recent of the 4 International Conferences (ICA) launched by the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS). ICYRAM was first organized in Singapore (2012), followed by China (2014), India (2016), Australia (2018). In 2022, the ICYRAM Conference will be organized for the fifth time in Asia, in Fukuoka, the largest city and metropolitan area on Kyushu in Japan.

Young Researchers from all over the world, aged <40, will have a unique opportunity to discuss, meet and create networks within the global materials community.
The key organizers of the various sessions are selected from all around the world. A limited number of Senior VIP’s will be invited to discuss the latest developments in Materials Science & Technology.
Young researchers will have the unique opportunity
-
to present their achievements in fields related to materials science and engineering
-
to extend their knowledge through contact and information exchanges with other young colleagues.
2022 ORGANIZERS
The MRS-Japan (Materials Research Society of Japan) was founded in March 1989, based on the premises that interdisciplinary
and multidisciplinary fields should be covered, after holding MRS International Conference on Advanced Materials at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro in May 1988.
Since its establishment, the MRS-Japan has promoted research & developments and industrial applications of advanced materials science and technologies, via the interdisciplinary research activities of scientists and engineers and their global co-operations.
The MRS-Japan has organized international conferences and symposia under the cooperation with the IUMRS, such as IUMRS-ICAM (Ikebukuro, August 1993 & Yokohama, October 2003), IUMRS-ICA (Makuhari, September 1997, Nagoya, December 2008, & Fukuoka, August 2014), IUMRS-ICEM (Yokohama, September 2012), and IUMRS-ICAM (Kyoto, August 2017), while the MRS-Japan cooperates with and actively participates in the IUMRS conferences.
